Bernadette rose presents: Turkish Delight

This is a sampling of a 24 piece solo show in 2009 entitled "Turkish Delight" It took place at the Wonder Fair: Art gallery and how! Lawrence.
like the b and thistle it was eastern influenced, but this time with more arabian flavors.  It is mainly about genies, and how in a poof of hookah smoke,  their granted wishes can whisk us away to the lands of milk and honey.

These pieces were all done after a trip to beijing
which inspired me deeply.
What I took away most was the eastern sense of color,
asymmetry, and graphic design as fine art. Also the way they address florals and vignettes plays into this group very much.
